Bay leaves and salt: an age-old remedy that's worth its weight in gold

  • As a wellness infusion:

Infuse 3 dried bay leaves in 250 ml of simmering water for 5 to 7 minutes, then add a small pinch of fine salt (about 0.5 g). Drink slowly, preferably after a meal or at the end of the day.

  • In a relaxing bath:

Add 200 to 250 g of sea salt and 6 bay leaves to a bathtub filled with hot water (approximately 37 to 38 °C). Let it infuse for a few minutes before getting into the bath and enjoy it for 15 to 20 minutes.

  • As a home ritual:

Place 3 to 5 bay leaves and 1 tablespoon of salt in a small bowl or decorative dish, and place it in a living room to create a calming atmosphere. Renew the mixture every 2 to 3 weeks.

Without excessive promises or complicated speeches, bay leaves and salt remind us that well-being often begins with simple gestures, repeated gently and with self-care.
