These hours correspond to a very specific moment in our sleep cycle. In fact, during the second half of the night, sleep becomes lighter. It’s as if our brain, after tidying the house during the deep phases, leaves the door ajar… Which can make waking up easier to trigger, sometimes for a very small reason.
But that’s not all. Between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., our bodies slowly begin preparing for the awakening. It alters its temperature, adjusts its hormones, and restarts its  internal metabolism . A bit like a bakery that turns on the ovens before the city even gets up.
