Padre Pio gave special attention to where a crucifix should be placed in the home.
1. At the Entrance
The front door represents everything that enters the home—people, news, and experiences. A crucifix placed here helps:
- Entrust the household to God
- Offer a moment of remembrance when entering or leaving
- Ideally, place it above the door or on a nearby wall at eye level.
2. In the Master Bedroom
- Nighttime was seen by Padre Pio as a moment of trust and surrender.
- Place the crucifix where it is visible from the bed
- Offer your day, worries, and intentions before sleeping
3. In Children’s Rooms

- Children are especially receptive to spiritual symbols.
- A crucifix reassures them that they are protected
- Teach simple prayers such as “Jesus, I trust in You” or “Thank You for today”
- Show them how to treat the crucifix with respect
4. In the Living Room
As the heart of family gatherings and conversations, the living room is a meaningful place for the crucifix.
- It encourages respectful dialogue
- It reminds guests that the home values peace and faith
5. In the Kitchen or Dining Area
