I lost my baby at 17 and left the hospital empty-handed.

There are memories that are imprinted on us like an invisible scar. At 17, she still thought she was safe from life's hardships, and yet, everything changed in a matter of weeks. When her partner learned of her pregnancy, he left without anger, without shouting, leaving behind a silence heavier than any reproach. She found herself alone, still a teenager, trying to be strong while fear never left her for a second.

They spoke to her using medical terms she barely understood, they told her to rest, and above all, they didn't give her the baby she'd been waiting for in silence for months.

The irreversible announcement and the phrase that changes everything

Two days later, the news arrived, cold and irreversible. The world stopped. No screams, no scene. Just this immense, indescribable void. How can you grieve for someone you never got to hold? It was then that a quiet presence changed something. A nurse sat down beside her. Nothing dramatic. Just a soft voice, slow gestures, and that whispered phrase, like a fragile promise: "You're young. Life still has plans for you." At that moment, those words seemed impossible to believe.
