Ah, the joys of suburban life! The peace and quiet, the barbecues… and sometimes, neighbors who were a little too free in their habits. For Laurence, the caring mother of an 8-year-old boy, everything was peaceful in her new neighborhood. Until the day Julie Martin, a whimsical neighbor, decided to dry her most revealing underwear… right in front of Hugo’s bedroom window.
The pink thong and the (early) awakening of childhood curiosities
It all started on a Tuesday, laundry day and superhero underwear. Laurence, folding laundry, looked up and came face to face, or rather, window to window, with a collection of all kinds of underwear. Lace panties, candy-colored thongs, pieces so light they looked like doll accessories… except they were proudly floating outside Hugo’s room.
“Mom, what’s that pink thing? A slingshot?” the child asks innocently. Embarrassed but amused, Laurence tries to change the subject, but her son’s growing curiosity pushes her to consider a more sustainable solution.
