Yet, this seemingly insignificant detail could influence how your body recovers during the night. Among the various options, sleeping on your left side is attracting increasing attention. Why sleeping position really matters

While you sleep, your body doesn't switch off; quite the opposite. It regenerates, rebalances, and relaxes. Gravity continues to act, and how you lie can influence your comfort upon waking. Sleeping on your side is already considered a fairly natural position for many people, but sleeping on your left side is said to offer some additional benefits in terms of bodily sensations and overall well-being.

A boost for digestion

The digestive system is primarily located on the left side of the abdomen. Lying on this side naturally facilitates bowel movements after dinner. The result: a feeling of a lighter stomach upon waking, especially if you tend to go to bed shortly after eating.
