How the VAGLN Works: A Masterpiece of Biological Ingenuity
The vagina, often misunderstood, is much more than just an organ. It is a true  little prodigy of adaptation , capable of dealing with a wide variety of situations. To fully understand how it works, we must first distinguish between two areas: the vulva (external part) and the vagina (internal canal connecting the vulva to the cervix).
The walls of the vagina are made of pleated tissue, much like an accordion, called “rugae.” These folds allow it to stretch and then spring back into shape, like a soft balloon. This elasticity is what allows for the passage of a tampon, a baby, or even movement during sexual intercourse.
The vagina is also self-cleaning: it produces secretions that keep the area moist, protected, and balanced. It’s  like a natural maintenance system , keeping everything in good working order.
