Why is it good to take a nap?

A gentle break to soothe stress

Daily stress sometimes accumulates without us even realizing it. Emails, obligations, mental load… it all ends up weighing us down. A nap then acts as a welcome “pause” button. It helps release tension, feel calmer, and better manage our emotions.

Even a few minutes lying down or sitting comfortably is enough to create a feeling of deep relaxation, almost like after a relaxation session.

More energy, without drinking more coffee.

When fatigue sets in, the reflex is often to reach for coffee. Yet, a short nap can offer a much more natural energy boost. After 15 to 20 minutes of rest, we often feel more alert, more focused, and ready to resume our activities without that end-of-day slump.

It's a simple, gentle and accessible solution, especially if you work from home or if your schedule allows you a short break after lunch.

And what about creativity in all of this?

It's no coincidence that many creative people enjoy napping. When we rest, the brain frees itself from immediate constraints and makes room for new ideas. It's often after a nap that solutions we'd forgotten about emerge, or that inspiration that seemed blocked.

Sleeping for a few minutes sometimes allows your imagination to work behind the scenes and naturally stimulates  concentration .
