Snake Plant (Mother-in-Law's Tongue) Care and Growth: Tips and Tricks
Snake plants (Sansevieria) do not require delicate care for pruning their leaves and do not need much water. They can tolerate deep shade, full sun, and even freezing temperatures for a few nights.
Maintenance and Water Requirements

The snake plant has rhizomes that store water, so it is best to keep it rather dry.
In low to medium light, allow the substrate to dry out completely between waterings. In very high light, allow it to dry out to 3/4 of the pot's depth.
When watering, avoid pouring water into the leaf rosettes, as this can cause rot. Water only the soil with room temperature water.
Spread

Propagation of whole plants is very easy. The plant responds well to several cultivation methods, including leaf cuttings, root division, offshoots, and cultivation from seed.
Repotting
Many of these plants can crack the pots they are in, so avoid using a pot that you care about a lot.
When repotting, transfer the plant to a larger container. Cactus mix is a good option when repotting snake plants.
Other Care Tips for the Snake Plant

The snake plant is robust and prefers bright light to maintain dense foliage.
It will survive in low light if left to dry out, but it will become thinner and weaker if the light is insufficient for growth. Keep the plant above 10°C.
Be on the lookout for dandruff and scale insects. If you find any, clean immediately with a cloth or cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol or with a damp paper towel.
